A Family Factory, Built on Mastery Since 1976

We're a factory, not a trading desk or an agent. Special Sporting is a family-run manufacturer in Sialkot, now in its second generation, and we've been making martial-arts apparel the right way since 1976: in-house, by skilled hands, to a standard we put our own name on.

The Story

Our family's story began generations ago, when our founder set out to make martial-arts uniforms in Sialkot City better than anyone else. He was among the earliest in the region to bring Korean line-type stitching and feed-of-the-arm machines to martial-arts production, and one of the first in Pakistan to produce a traditional jiu-jitsu gi. From the start, Special Sporting has helped raise the standard for quality and ethical-labour practices in the martial-arts industry.

Today the factory is run by the second generation. I'm Muhammad Bilal Firaz, a University of Hertfordshire graduate who came home to build on my father's work with the same obsession for craftsmanship and a modern, brand-focused way of doing business. Every process still happens in-house, under one roof, so the quality that carries your brand is never out of our hands.

Reliability You Can Plan Around

Masters of the Supply Chain, Because We Own It

Most brands switch to us for one reason: they're tired of inconsistent quality, shipping delays and broken promises. We fixed that by controlling the whole process ourselves, for nearly fifty years.

  • Our own weaving unit, dyeing unit and in-factory fabric store: the whole chain in-house, not outsourced and out of our hands
  • Around half a million dollars of fabric kept in stock at all times, so production starts fast and your lead times stay consistent, order after order
  • No warranty claim since 2019, a quality record we're proud of. And if a valid issue ever does arise, we make it right
  • We genuinely love building brands, from the name just starting out to the established one tired of being let down by its current supplier

How To Check We Are Real

It is the question buyers ask us more than any other, and it is a fair one. Nobody should send money to a factory on the other side of the world on trust alone. So instead of asking you to believe us, here is how to check us.

  • Come and see the floor. Toheed Street, Rangpura, Sialkot 51310, Pakistan. It is a working factory rather than an office, and buyers are welcome to visit.
  • Read reviews we did not write. 66 or more independent reviews on Google, rated 4.8 out of 5.
  • Ask who else we make for. Most of our work sits under NDA, which is precisely what those clients pay us for. The names we are free to share are Ralph Gracie, Guerilla Grappling, Trust the Journey and LEE Lannoccaro.
  • Talk to the owner, not a sales desk. You deal with Muhammad Bilal Firaz, second generation of the family that started this factory in 1976.
  • Check what we actually own. Our own weaving unit, our own dyeing unit and our own fabric store, on our own premises. A trading company that passes your order to somebody else cannot show you any of that, because it does not have it.
  • Test us on the technical detail. Fifty years of gi making shows up fast in a conversation about pearl and gold weave, GSM, collar construction and IBJJF specification. An agent relays your question and comes back tomorrow. We answer it now.
  • Look at when the money moves. You never pay the full amount up front. An order is 50% in advance and 50% when the goods are ready, which is on ready rather than on shipping, so you see packing photos of finished stock before the balance is due.

See your sample before you approve it. Once your physical sample is made, we take you through it on video, turning it over, showing the seams, the embroidery and the labels, so you approve what you have actually seen rather than a photograph. Ask for it when your sample is ready. Arrange it on WhatsApp

None of that asks you to take our word for anything. It is all checkable before you send a deposit, which is rather the point.

How We Work

The 3D Principle

Three words that run through every order we make.

  • Dare: take on the ambitious brief others won't
  • Devote: obsess over the weave, the stitch, the finish
  • Dominate: deliver a product your customers choose again
